Product features: material: Cromargan®.The WMF Boston cutlery is made from Cromargan®, the registered trademark of rust-proof 18/10 stainless steel. It is therefore rust-proof and dishwasher-safe, dimensionally stable and indestructible as well as neutral in taste and resistant to food acids.
The knives are so-called Monobloc knives, i.e. they are forged from one piece of stainless blade steel and hardened whole. They then receive a fine serrated edge, which is hand applied by experienced staff. This serrated edge guarantees a very good sharpness and a long cutting stability of the knives.
Tips for use cleaning and careCutlery bears the seal "dishwasher safe according to RAL-RG 604". It is subjected to a uniform and standardised test procedure, according to which 1000 washes must be easily withstood.
In some cases, signs of rust appear on the cutlery (especially on the knife blade) after washing in the dishwasher. This is in the R to transfer foreign rust from items that are not dishwasher safe in the dishwasher, damaged washing baskets or rust particles in the washing liquor. Improper cleaning with too high or too low dosed detergents or long adhering food residues can also cause corrosion. The foreign rust can be easily and completely removed in the early stages, e.g. with the Purargan® care product for Cromargan®.
- Clean your cutlery from coarse food residue after use and never leave it unrinsed for a long time.
- Cutlery should not be soaked in rinse water or remain damp.
- When washing in the dishwasher, place the cutlery pieces unsorted with the handle facing down in the basket.
- Remove your cutlery from the machine as soon as possible after the end of the rinse cycle and dry it if necessary. If this is not possible, please open the door of the dishwasher so that the steam can peel off and there is no moisture build-up.
It is recommended to carry out an empty rinse cycle after filling the salt supply of the dishwasher.
